One of Bean’s many quirks is his desire to serve on a jury. Inexplicably, he’s never received a summons for jury duty and it gives him great pain when listeners call in to report receiving theirs.

Update – Bean announced that he finally got jury duty! Only one catch – it’s while he’s supposed to be on vacation in Italy with his wife.
Bean eventually did turn up for jury duty, and was summarily dismissed.
